INTRODUCTION
CBRE (Coldwell Banker Richard Ellis) is a global leader in commercial real estate services and investment, with more than 140,000 employees in over 100 countries. Recognised for designing efficient and effective workplaces, CBRE applies the same commitment to excellence within its own office environments.
At the company’s recently relocated Singapore city-centre office, Senior Director of Client Technology, Simon Long, envisioned a workplace where wellbeing and focus take precedence. Central to this vision was the integration of Moodsonic’s soundscaping technology to shape the atmosphere through sound.
Valeo Technology, a specialist provider of wellbeing-led technologies, led the design and delivery of the Moodsonic solution, working alongside local installation partner ESCO and consultants Hewshott. To support this approach, the team worked with Bluesound Professional to design a fully networked audio system capable of delivering consistent coverage and flexible zoning throughout the office.

Moodsonic Soundscaping Technology - Outcome:
A decentralised, multi-zone audio system delivering soundscaping coverage across 14 distinct areas. The system supports flexible regrouping through BluOS software and forms part of a broader data-led workplace optimisation strategy.
THE SOLUTION
The final installation comprises 120 Bluesound Professional BCS300 PoE speakers, predominantly deployed in pendant configuration using the pendant kit. The system provides coverage across 14 distinct zones, including front-of-house and back-of-house areas, focus rooms, wellness spaces, quiet zones, bathrooms and café areas.
The decentralised nature of the system allows speakers to be configured individually to suit the needs of different spaces. Using BluOS software, zones can be decoupled and regrouped without invasive changes such as accessing ceilings or rerouting cabling. This supports flexibility should the office layout evolve over time.
Moodsonic operates as the default setting throughout the office. However, the system also allows teams to temporarily switch to their preferred streaming service via the BluOS Controller app and revert back to Moodsonic when required.
TECHNOLOGY
The CBRE Singapore installation is built around 120 Bluesound Professional BCS300 networked PoE speakers integrated with the BluOS multi-zone audio management platform.
The system delivers soundscaping coverage across 14 zones, supporting different ways of working, communicating and interacting within the workplace. From the moment employees step out of the lifts, the sound environment is present, helping to set the tone for the overall workplace experience.
Beyond audio playback, the project forms part of a broader data-led workplace strategy. By analysing occupancy sensors, air quality, lighting levels and Moodsonic acoustic data, the team can gain real-time insight into how the office is performing. This enables ongoing evaluation and optimisation of how spaces are used and experienced.

CBRE Singapore’s new office demonstrates how sound can support wellbeing, focus and flexibility within a corporate workplace environment.
Despite tight timelines and budget considerations, collaboration between Valeo Technology, ESCO, Hewshott and Bluesound Professional resulted in a scalable, multi-zone soundscaping system tailored to the needs of the space.
Recognised as Best Corporate Office at the InAvate APAC Awards, the project highlights how intelligent soundscaping combined with a flexible networked speaker system can enhance modern workplace design.
