ISE 2025 has finally ended after months of preparation, and what an event it was!
Bluesound Professional was at the heart of the action, showcasing the latest advancements in commercial audio and engaging in insightful discussions on the future of AV technology.
This year’s show reflected a major shift in the industry – one where software and ecosystem integration are taking center stage over traditional hardware innovation. Here’s a look at our key takeaways from ISE 2025, as told by our VP Graeme Harrison in Episode 1 of the new season of the Surroundscapes podcast, and how our partners are driving change in the commercial AV landscape.
The CP300 will be on display to view and demo at CEDIA 2024 at Bluesound Professional’s booth #3517.
The shift towards software-driven AV solutions
One of the biggest trends at ISE 2025 was the growing emphasis on software over hardware. As the AV industry matures, manufacturers are focusing on refining ecosystems and adding functionalities that mirror the evolution of IT-based solutions. This shift allows for more efficient and scalable deployments, making AV technology more accessible and adaptable.
“Our industry is maturing, and while hardware remains crucial, real innovation is happening in software and services,” explains Graeme Harrison. “The AV world is becoming more IT-centric, bringing new efficiencies and capabilities to businesses.”
Expanding our reach in Australia with Amber Technology
Bluesound Professional’s business in Australia continues to gain momentum, thanks to Amber Technology’s recent acquisition of Connected Media, our previous distributor. This strategic move has significantly expanded our presence in Australia, with rapid adoption of our ecosystem in retail, corporate, education, and government sectors.
We caught up with Nathan Brady, General Manager of Integrated Solutions at Amber Technology at ISE 2025. He shares his insights on this growth: “What we’ve seen over the past year has set us up for continued expansion over the next three years. Our approach is all about actively engaging with customers and demonstrating what’s possible with Bluesound Professional.”
Elevating business music with SoundMachine
SoundMachine is redefining the way businesses experience music by offering high-definition (HD) audio at 320kbps stereo quality, the first of its kind in the B2B music space. This innovation aligns seamlessly with Bluesound Professional’s high-resolution capabilities, ensuring businesses can deliver superior sound in retail, hospitality, and corporate environments.
SoundMachine also simplifies the transition from consumer streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music to fully licensed, legal solutions. “This is a game-changer,” Harrison notes. “Businesses can now provide a premium audio experience while staying compliant with licensing laws.”
The future of cloud-based AV management with Xyte
ISE also showcased how cloud-based AV management is becoming a necessity, and Xyte is at the forefront of this transformation. Their new Connect+ platform enables integrators and end-users to manage devices from multiple manufacturers within a unified cloud ecosystem.
For Bluesound Professional, Xyte’s technology enhances remote monitoring all of its products. This is especially useful in the case of PoE loudspeakers, offering real-time visibility across large-scale deployments. “Being able to confirm that sound is actually coming out of the speakers, rather than just knowing a player is active, is a huge step forward in remote AV management,” says Harrison.
Sustainable digital signage with Agile Displays
Sustainability was another major theme at ISE 2025, and Agile Displays stood out with its solar-powered E-Ink digital signage. This innovation eliminates the need for any cabling, making it a game-changer for environmentally conscious businesses looking to deploy signage in remote or outdoor locations. “Sustainability is becoming a top priority in AV,” Harrison furthers. “It’s exciting to see companies like Agile Displays leading the way with energy-efficient solutions.”
Simplifying digital environments with Stage Precision
Managing complex digital environments is a challenge, but Stage Precision is making it easier with SP Grid. This powerful tool enables AV professionals to scale and control digital projects seamlessly, from small installations to massive immersive experiences.
By offering real-time data synchronization and intuitive control, SP Grid is set to revolutionize the way AV professionals manage digital content distribution.
The Future of AV
ISE 2025 demonstrated how rapidly the AV industry is evolving, with software, cloud integration, and sustainability leading the charge. Bluesound Professional remains committed to staying at the forefront of these changes, working alongside our partners to deliver cutting-edge commercial audio solutions.
“The industry is moving forward at an incredible pace, and we’re proud to be part of this transformation,” Harrison concludes. “We look forward to continuing to innovate and help businesses create exceptional audio experiences.”
As we reflect on another successful ISE, one thing is clear – the future of AV is brighter and more connected than ever.
